In 2004, our dear friend took his own life and my husband became a founding member of his memorial foundation. The annual golf tournament has raised significant funding for scholarship awards. I am grateful to support his legacy and contributions to students of DWHS.
The first tournament we wanted to distribute a personal token in honor of Hot Toddy.
I was once a recipient of one of his safety pins which he apparently always had attached to himself for just the occasion. This unique and meaningful symbol represents his generosity and strong yet fragile state.
